G-Strings to No-Strings: A modern Kama Sutra – Review

G-STRINGS TO NO STRINGS: A MODERN KAMA SUTRA: by French designer Ionna Vautrin

G-Strings to No Strings: A Modern Kama Sutra by award-winning designer Ionna Vautrin,is  a new, risqué little illustrated book which features same-sex couples, small and large groups and with a spectrum of fetishes, props, bondage and acrobatics. Published in October by renowned French publish Flammarion.

French designer Ionna Vautrin has collaborated with many brands including Christian Dior and Foscarini. In 2011, she won the Grand Prize in Creation from the city of Paris. Her work exists at the intersection of industry and poetry, and she makes everyday objects simple and obvious, but surprising.

A modern take on the Kama Sutra, Vautrin’s stylish collection of suggestive, playful drawings feature pop culture icons from Kim Kardashian to Darth Vader. With acrobats, firefighters, cabaret dancers, vampires, matadors and yogis, her erotic aphorisms offer something to satisfy every fantasy.

THE BOOK IS A CUTE BUT SUPER SENSUAL IMAGE FILLED PLAY ON THE KAMA SUTRA. –

The illustrations are sexually witty and causes one to “Lol-out loud” through the visual to mental thought process of deciphering the meaning of each page.

The “any sexual preference” friendly book consists of “in tandem” with two gentlemen upon a bicycle and “camel back” illustrated by two women joining at the hump.

I enjoyed flipping through the different ways to please in eye popping positions with one, two and even up to 5 participants. Not something I have seen in the old fashioned 1980s photography cladded books I used to sneakily look at as a kid when the parents were not looking. The play on bondage and fetishes had me giggling. I may have to have a few “friends” over and try out a few of these millennial twister moves – research and development of course! This book is a great mood lifter and could cause a hilarious stir as a gift.
